Everything we get asked on walk-throughs and in quote emails. If yours is missing, ask it in the quote form; plain answers are the house style.
Rates and quoting
What are your rates?
Three crews, charged hourly: $250/hr with two movers and a truck, $350/hr with three movers and a truck, $500/hr with four movers across two trucks. Same rates across our whole catchment.
Can I get a fixed price?
We quote the crew, the hourly rate and an honest read of how the hours usually land for a load like yours. We do not invent fixed totals sight-unseen: a fixed price built on a guess has the guess priced in, and you pay for it either way. Sharp sizing is the fairer deal.
Why does the big crew cost more per hour but sometimes less overall?
Trip count. A load past one truck either travels twice or travels once on two trucks; the two-truck day runs fewer hours. The arithmetic is worked through in One trip or two?
When does the clock start and stop?
The exact billing shape (travel time, minimums) is confirmed in your written quote before you book, so there are no moving-day surprises. We keep it plain and put it in writing; nothing relies on a phone-call memory.
Sizing and the day
How do you know what size my move is?
We ask about the whole property: rooms, garage, roof space, shed, backyard, large single items. The Two-Truck Test is that conversation in tool form, and your quote is checked against your inventory before the crew is locked.
How long will my move take?
Honestly: it depends on load, access and the drive, and anyone who promises a finish time before seeing all three is guessing. What we can do is show you the typical shape of a day for a load like yours when we quote, and then run the day to a plan.
Do you handle stairs, split-levels and steep driveways?
Every week; this is ridge country. Flag them in the quote so the carry time is budgeted honestly and the right gear is on the truck.
Pianos, pool tables, safes?
Yes, planned in advance with the right crew size and equipment. Tell us in the quote form; a piano changes the plan more than an extra bedroom does.
What about things a removalist cannot take?
Fuel, gas bottles, open chemicals and the like stay behind: drain the mower, swap the BBQ bottle, give away half-cans of paint. The double garage guide has the practical list.
Booking and contact
How far ahead should I book?
Weekends and school holidays book first; a few weeks' notice is comfortable for those. Term-time weekdays are the most flexible, and often the calmest day to move a family. If your settlement date slips, tell us early and we adjust.
How do I phone you? I cannot find a number.
Our phone line is being set up, so there is no phone number on this site yet. Until it is live, the form is the front door: every detail lands in writing where a voicemail would garble it, and a callback is yours the moment you ask for one.
Do you take a deposit?
Nothing is booked or charged until you confirm the written quote. The confirmation email spells out anything payable and when; no surprises is the whole policy.
