Apartment & townhouse moves

Since the Metro opened, a growing share of Castle Hill lives in apartments and townhouses: about four dwellings in ten across the suburb, and far more around Norwest. Those moves run on building rules, and we know them.

What building moves take that house moves do not

  • The lift booked with building management, with the padded curtains in before the first box travels
  • Loading dock height and time limits read before the truck is chosen: a standard dock beats street parking every time it is available
  • Common-area protection where the strata requires it, and often where it does not, because it is the neighbourly way to leave a lobby
  • A crew that carries long: from a tower lift to a dock can be a further walk than a whole house move

Tell us the building name in the quote and we do the access homework: many Norwest and Bella Vista buildings have quirks we have already met.

Townhouses: the in-between move

Kellyville and North Kellyville townhouses move like small houses with one twist: internal stairs and tight garage courts. A two-mover crew handles most of them; a three-mover crew earns its rate when there are two flights of stairs and a full storage cage besides.

Asked about building moves

Do you book the lift, or do we?

Either works. Most buildings only take the booking from a resident, so usually you book the window and we plan the crew around it. Tell us the window in the quote form and we work backwards from it.

Our building has no dock. Is that a problem?

Not a problem, just a fact that belongs in the plan: kerbside loading adds carry time, and on some streets a smaller truck doing the legwork beats a big one parked far away. This is exactly the kind of thing the quote conversation settles before the day.

Buildings remember good movers

Building managers see every removalist who comes through the dock, and they talk. Crews that book properly, pad the lift and leave the lobby clean get welcomed back, which makes your move day smoother too.

Tell us about the house, the garage and the dates. We come back with the right crew, the real hourly rate and how the day runs. No phone tag, no obligation, and nothing is booked until you say so.
